We are actively looking for members (medics and non-medics) who are interested in joining Community Medics.
Medical Volunteers
You will require the following qualifications / characteristics:
– A minimum medical qualification of Basic Ambulance Assistance (BAA) and registration with the HPCSA.
– A code 8 or 10 drivers license (PrDP is not required).
Commitment
– Active members are required to work voluntary standby shifts in each monthly rotation.
– Members volunteer their time and services and expect nothing in return. You must be willing to deal with unpleasant situations to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
– We are looking for caring, motivated individuals to join the team.

Support Volunteers
We are always looking for members who are not medics to assist us with the running of the organisation. There are a number of ways in which you could help:
Administration and/or Fundraising and/or Logistics and/or Marketing and/or Public Relations
– No experience is required however always advantageous
– Willing to assist with running projects or assisting on projects
– Members volunteer their time and services and expect nothing in return
– Maintain equipment and base
– General help
